What is the role of London Uni Connect website?
London Uni Connect is a partnership of three networks (Linking London, Aimhigher London and AccessHE), led by the lead institution Kingston University. We are part of the national Uni Connect programme (formerly NCOP), funded by the Office for Students. Phase one of the programme commenced in 2017, bringing together 29 partnerships of universities, colleges and other local partners to deliver outreach programmes to young people in years 9 to 13. The 2021/22 academic year marks the start of phase three of the Uni Connect programme.
The London Uni Connect partnership works with schools, sixth forms and Further Education colleges across London to increase awareness amongst young Londoners of the opportunities available in higher education, and to support them to make informed decisions about their futures. We do this in the following ways:
- We offer guidance for teachers and advisers on the outreach activity available in their local area
- We help schools to access outreach activity that suits their specific needs
- We bring together the various local partners involved in HE outreach in London and in that way help to foster greater collaboration
The London Uni Connect website provides information for learners, parents, teachers, staff and our partners.
